High Atlas Berber Trails, 4 days
Beyond the well-trodden paths of Toubkal villages and valleys, this 4-day trek will take you into an area visited by few adventure hikers and it is possible to hike here without seeing other trekkers or staying at crowded campsites. Home to some of the Morocco’s finest mountain scenery, this remote and rarely visited region of the High Atlas is an area of outstanding natural beauty where we can experience the most spectacular scenery of the High Atlas Mountains. Fresh air, traditional Berber villages and lush valleys, nomadic grazing lands, clear rivers, wild mountains, many excellent walking trails, high passes with breathtaking panoramas and delicious locally sourced food are just a few of the innumerable authentic and unforgettable experiences to be had in the Yagour mountains.
Accompanied by an experienced guide and a crew of Berber muleteers, our stunning trekking itinerary begins in the picturesque Ourika valley and leads north-southwards through the impressive Atlas range of Tizi-n-Tichka. En route, we discover isolated peaceful river valleys and mud-built villages of the friendly Berbers, and walk on trails through remote and often uninhabited mountains to reach high and scenic camping places, where the nomadic tribes escaping the heat of the Sahara desert during the summer months graze their herds of goat, sheep and cows at the foot of Jebel Milsten.

Why the Tour Itinerary is not Showed ?
At Morocco Private Tours we work quite hard and spend much time to create private and innovative itineraries off the beaten track and away from the well-trodden routes. We specialise in designing carefully crafted tour programmes that give keen travellers the opportunity to see and discover some of the most fascinating and exotic places Morocco has to offer. In order to protect our hand-crafted tour programmes and trek itineraries we have designed, the detailed programmes of our tours and treks are not showed on our Website because there are many non-professional local companies and lazy tour guides who copy the itineraries we have designed.
Unfortunately, these people don’t want to make any effort and rack their brain to create and plan their own programmes. They just want to earn money quickly and easily, thinking only of their own benefits more than those of the clients and they pay almost no attention to show the beautiful Morocco the way it should be seen. Most of the time, when they lead a group of tourists these people think about taking them to shops and bazaars where they will get commissions from the store owners on purchases of the tourists. So there is no enough time left for them to introduce the must-see attractions Morocco has to offer and show the real Morocco the way it should be seen.
