This discovery tour is suitable for most people in good health and age groups. This 3-day journey combines cultural guided visits, scenic drives and daily short walks that offer an easy walking pace for sightseeing to appreciate attractions along the route, encounter the locals, admire the landscapes and take pictures. Please keep in mind that this tour involves traveling long distances by car because the real Sahara desert is situated a long way from Marrakesh and Fez.

Best time to do this trek

This short escape into the Sahara desert and South Morocco can be undertaken all year round. The best time of the year is from October until early May. July and August, are the hottest months in the sahara desert. Winter and Autumn can be perfect by day in the south, though desert nights can get cold – a major consideration if you are planning to stay in one of the desert tented camps, which rarely have heating. Warm duvet and blankets, as well as hot water bootles are provided to keep you warm at night when staying in the desert camp.

When travelling into the Sahara desert, the overnight stay will be tented camp style or hotel for those who don’t like sleeping in the tents. With us you will enjoy a truly authentic experience and you will camp in very comfortable and spacious luxury tents equipped with comfortable mattresses with proper bed, pillows and warm duvets, all covered with fine and cosy bedding.
